The bass is incredible, kind of suppress the midrange but still very good sound to its size. Lose points because of lack of support of bluetooth, which is very important for connivence.

These are freaking awesome! I love the sound quality and bass response. For my taste it sounds very clean and doesn't try to drown you out with bass or make your ears bleed from the highs. The Heos 7 can crank out a lot of sound and fill a fairly large room. I have used mine in the garage, backyard and mainly the master bedroom. Looking to buy another and make use of the pairing options. The first generation is wifi, Ethernet or Aux in only. I read another review criticizing the Bluetooth support... well it never claimed to have Bluetooth. The 2nd generation supports Bluetooth, do if you need it, pay a few extra bucks and pick one of those up. I highly recommend the Heos lineup over others. I have owned Sonos too, just didn't like the Spotify controls via the Sonos app. Sonos sound great too as well!Read full review

This thing is powerful and sounds amazing. I would choose this over any SONOS speaker any day. Save money and buy the older HS1 units unless you need the bluetooth option.
