    Excellent substitute for 12au7

    Please be aware that this tube has 2-3 db more gain than typical 12au7! In addition, it is about 50% taller and draws 0.6v heater current, twice the typical 12au7. The Phillips *SQ* is clean, quiet, open, detailed with a nice touch of warmth. If you are looking for a more tubey sound, try a vintage Blackburn Mullard, or any 12bh7. Rated at 10,000 hrs. Used in a hi-fi amp in the voltage gain section. Probably overkill as the phase inverter.

    Philips ECG JAN 5814A neutral sounding tubes excellent V2

    i use this in my V2 position on my pwr amps and they work very well there, cheap easy to find tubes without to much color enhancement-fantastic just what the good Dr ordered. Doesnt take away or add anything to my E83CC V1

    Great price on a tube that has a high failure rate.

    Fantastic NOS tubes

    I bought these for my Cary Audio SLP-03 and immediately loved the sound they produced when I installed them! They are not cheap but worth it if you love your audio!
