Cease to Begin is a superb cd of wonderful songs .
Band of Horses are new to me aged 72 & I am blown away by the quality & content, so good that I have now bought 5cds. This Cease to Begin is superb , & my recent purchase is Mirage Rock which is equally superb. Fantastic band. Paul

Band of Horses do guitar-based indie very well-- well enough, at least, that the next generation of American indie bands may bear comparisons to them. Cease to Begin was produced again by Phil Ek, who helmed the band’s fabulous debut last year. Though the material has much of the same urban-Americana feel of Everything, Begin is for better or worse more determined with its tempos and its tones than their debut. The band’s sense of texturing seems at once trapped under old, leaden things and more spacious. Cease to begin cd (BOH)
Wonderful disarming :o) If you have listend to EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME then this new offering bu BOH is a must. Resplendent with Bridwells enigmatic dreamy pose. This cd has a hazy mid-west country-ish tinge. After a night in with my feet up and a few beers I can see why BAND OF HORSES have got 3,000,000 + hits.

I think this album is Brilliant, Every song on it is very good, its an album about hope and not giving up. When i put the cd on i want to listen to all the songs and not skip to another track like i do on other albums i have. I bought it for my partner because he heard about them on the internet and now i enjoy listening to them too.
