Does a good job if used properly
I've got a few of these kits and they work fine as long as you follow a few golden rules, as you only have one chance to get it right! Don't assume the drill will follow exactly the stripped hole, especially in aluminium. Get someone to watch as you drill to make sure you are dead perpendicular to the job, unless you're using a pillar drill. Tap carefully, and blow out all swarf, Screw in insert without pushing, allow the thread to screw itself in. Snap off tang with a swift knock, otherwise it might just bend. I just did a GSX-750 frame/cylinder head hole, and its done a great job again.I've got a few of these kits and they work fine as long as you follow a few golden rules, as you only have one chance to get it right! Its not "The Original" HeliCoil, But it sure did the job on my bike!
I've fixed the stripped engine head thread on my Yamaha YZF-R3 with this awsome kit, And Im not even a professional, It worked great without any issues and it's holding everything in place even better than the original threads, Thank you very much for this awsome product!
