Diana (Janine Reynaud) and Regina (Rosanna Yanni) are two wisecracking, super-sexy private investigators hired to find a missing doctor's secret formula, in this way-out 1960s spy-horror spoof from director Jess Franco. A sheet of music in a dead man's hand is the girls' only clue, and somehow it leads them to an island owned by a sinister man named Erik (Adrian Hoven, the film's producer). Using a crazy nightclub act as cover, the restless vixens sing, dance and strip their way to the solution of the strange case, effortlessly eluding lots of drooling, knife-wielding psychopaths along the way. This film comes equipped with nude swimming, lesbian terrorists, whipping, gunplay, a car chase, and lots of wild music and fabulous clothes. Director Jess Franco has been making barely coherent, wondrously weird films like this for forty years. This one is a good place to start for those who've never heard of him. It was filmed at the same time, and with the same cast, in the same roles, as TWO UNDERCOVER ANGELS.
