  • heart warming

This is a really heart warming british comedy and is a prime example of the brilliance of our very own british directors and the british film industry. Rob Pattinson plays the role of the slightly depressed and pathetic art (arthur) who just doesnt know what to do with his life after his music career and love life don't seem to be getting him anywhere. Although i personally don't think robs face suit this role, his acting in this makes you forget about that one minor issue and not too late into the film you can really see how he really is a flexible and talented actor (not so much seen in twilight, no matter how obsessed i am with it). If you enjoy british films (no, not shaun of the dead/ hot fuzz etc) then you will really appreciate this film. It's innocent but funny humour throughout ...

  • How to be..........bemused

I like Robert Pattinson in Twilight, he looks good, but lets be honest it doesn't seem like a difficult role to play - is he so good he makes it look easy? After watching How to be I suspect that may be the case. He plays Art, dysfunctional, awkward, lonely and utterly absorbing. Don't expect a laugh riot comedy, this is a perfect study of a young man trying to learn "how to be". His horrendous parents don't give him any guidance, the kooky self help guru makes things worse, in the end he just learns to be. Pattinson plays it so well, it's painful to watch; lightyears away from the self confident, uber cool Edward Cullen, this is a touching study of a young man finding his way and finding himself. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it.

  • This movie was beyond art house; it was just plain weird and disappointing

I bought this movie because it was not available for hire anywhere, and I wanted to check out another of Robert Pattinson's earlier roles he's played before he became famous. I can tell that this was probably one of those 'it was a good learning experience' movies, as it was pretty dull to watch, and felt like it was going no where fast. The climax when the parents & therapist have their individual break-through's, was sadly the best part of the movie, and the ending scene although happy, didn't really seem to conclude the story as a whole.

  • How To Be (Starring Robert Pattinson)

Oh dear God, this movie was torture! I have watched plenty of independent films and I love movies, but this was not at all an enjoyable film to watch(despite how lovely Robert Pattison is to look at!). It was just weird and uncomfortable. I realize it is an interpretation of someone's 'slice of life', but I did not walk away with a lesson learned, nor was I entertained. I think if you invest 2 hours in a movie, you deserve one of those two things for your time!

  • great funny film

This movie was very enjoyable. There was lot of awkward funny parts that make you laugh. R-patts stars as a bizzar boy who is have a quarter life crisis and needs to figure out what he needs to do in order to make his self happy again. This movie will put a smile on your face. Even though its not the best film, it is worth a watch!!
