I use a lot more vanilla extract now that I don't need to use the McCormick stuff. It makes great holiday baking gifts as well. After about a two year immersion, I don't filter out the caviar and it's a great flavored extract. Vanilla is like garlic in that it's hard to use too much. I used too much garlic once, but never too much vanilla to the point that it overpowered the dish.

I purchased these to make double-strength vanilla extract, so I won’t be able to determine their flavor for a few more months, but I did notice the vodka turned dark brown much, much sooner than from the beans I purchased last year at Costco. Amazing, really, as the Costco beans were significantly more expensive! Having made my own vanilla for years now, I have every expectation of these being all I hoped for.
