    The photo provided and what was recieved were very different --- with NO communication from the seller that the product packaging had changed. Additionally, listing photo (first/left one) was for 1050', not 1050" -- a big (and deceptive) difference. AND what happened to the black plastic center roll/rod support? My system uses that. It's missing - and I was not expecting that! Only have the center hole of the paper -- which is NOT what I ordered. I did appreciate the quick ship-out.

    Easy installation

    With flange or without depends on your requirements, either works fine. Just don't use one with a flange if you need a tight fit between parts unless you countersink for the flange. The hex-drive makes in real easy to install in any kind of wood unlike the brass inserts that require you to use a screw driver. The brass is so soft that you can easily snap off one side or the other of the slot.

    Weak material

    I installed 22 of these in a 2x4 to hold a 4x8 plywood. Installing them were easy as it grabs the wood. But when I go to install the screw, some of them were not threaded all the way so the screw got stuck. When backing out the screw, it would also back out the insert as well. After removing the insert completely out of the wood, I was able to remove the screw from the insert. I see that the insert was easily damaged while the screw was ok. I had 6 out of 22 inserts that was damaged.

    These threaded inserts worked great. I had to go down a little on a SAE bit drill as compared to the metric bit on the package. These inserts are being used on my plastic kayak.
