This fixed spool Carp Reel packs a punch when comparing to other top makes. Although designed as a Baitrunner for Carp Fishing, it also is the perfect partner for inshore Sea Fishing, especially when targeting Sea Bass. Easy, smooth retrieve with choice of left or right handle wind and casts a long way in the right hands. I buy these whenever possible to help disadvantaged kids take up angling. Matched with a decent Carp rod, the combination doesn't fail as they can Carp fish and/or shore fish - whichever they fancy. just as good quality as my original Shakespeare
the first reel I ever owned was A Shakespeare product and that was almost 50 years ago and I still use it on occasions that should speak volumes and this new reel I've just purchased is just as well made and it seems just as good a quality as my original fishing reel and I look forward to years and years of pleasure in using it

Better than expected for the money
Purchaced for my teenage grandson. Excellant reel for the price. Very Smooth running and the baitrunner system works perfect. Came pre spooled with 10lb line. Would reccomend to anyone starting out or just wanting a budget reel. Better than expected

A great reel
Ordered this reel it came in three days a first class company to deal with. The reel is a little jem for the price it performed perfectly. Went fishing the next day had a dozen carp the clutch worked perfectly. So I ordered another one from the same company I was so impressed and that came so quickly again.
