Oh my goodness good!
SO pleased with this sweeper - all the features of the more expensive brands, works so well I only bring out the electric vacuum once a week for 'deep cleaning'. Once a day use of this non-electric carpet sweeper keeps my carpets 'company ready' (once we're allowed indoor guests). Easy-empty dual collection chamber and the included bristle rake is SUCH a helpful bonus as it really works to pull all those stringy things out of the brushes. My husband was not happy I bought this until he saw how well it cleaned the traffic areas on our carpets. You pay for what you get. Its no more than ordinary and failed to pick up dust bits or other small items on a carpet. The stand pole is cheap and only works one way to brush. It is awkward to empty too, unlike the old fashioned ones where the binnacle just opened and the dirt fell out into a waste-bin. Whatever dirt goes in, you have to combe it out. Poor design. The only plus factor is it is useful for those with tiny cupboards to store it as the pole handle can be dismantled if the space you are placing it in is too small. I am not marking it down as a failure or total disappointment due to the price, but perhaps a better quality and higher priced carpet sweeper would be more ideal. Nothing is made like it was in the 1960/s any more. Ewbank were the leaders in this field and quaity ... You pay for what you get. Low tech and efficient
A great piece of equipment, well made and sturdy, I bought this put of nostalgia as my parents had one. I thought it quite cheap but was very pleasantly suprised by how well made it was. Sturdy heavy tube handle. Works really well. Ideal for small flat.

Expected better from Beldray
Initially I found it difficult to put the handle together - the screws were not well defined. Once assembled, it picks up very well, but emptying the dustpan is not easy. I found I had to use an old toothbrush to get all the waste out. Also when starting to sweep when there is already waste collected, it spills out.
