Easycap audio video VHS to DVD recorder converter USB capture software adaptor, works well on windows 7, 64 bits
Once installed on PC, the easycap was linked to a set top box, so manual recording could be carried out. The completed recording was done 4.3 aspect. Not to sure if 16.9 is possible? so recording of old VHS material is possible to PC.

Total antiquated rubbish - won’t work on 64bit windows 10
Ancient 2009 driver provided That Windows will not use. Windows sees device as audio capture. Video device not recognised by supplied software. With some bullying vlan will capture video using directx at tiny picture size. Unusable and exactly the same as other DC60 devices that are advertised as not working on 64 bit machines.

EasyCap works like a dream on Windows 10 64 bit with supplied drivers.
Installation is easy - drivers are on the supplied disk along with ArcSoft ShowBiz software to allow you to capture video in mpeg2. Once I proved it worked, I used Corel VideoStudio to capture the video from an old video camera. Quality is as you would expect from s-video (great for the time, but lacking compared to today's standards).

Handy to Capture lost Memories
Ok with Windows computers but not with Mac, copied Cd onto flash drive as Mac's now have no DVD drive even then you get a message saying cannot run Windows files. With Windows 10 easy to install but a bit fiddly after that . Works fine though if downloaded from Hi8 camcorder but you need a scart to din plug converter to capture from VHS recorder or TV. Value for money you get what you pay for.
