This series begins after World War II, when it follows the story of a British nurse who goes on a walk through an ancient ruin with her husband and is transported to the year 1743 in Scotland. In this 'old' world she is forced to marry a rogue Highlander, who she falls in love with. This drama series stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, and Gary Lewis.
