The "Longmire" TV series is about a Wyoming sheriff, who is a mixture of Matt Dillon and Sherlock Holmes...he HAS to be, since he seems to have jurisdiction over the murder capital of America. After one episode I was hooked. It moves as fast as a modern western detective series can but the characters and plot kept my attention. Like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Sons, there is a story within a story. Longmire looks after his people and solves crimes while solving his own mystery. The clues are dropped at just the right time and when you blink, or take a break with pausing, you will miss something important to the big picture. I loved it and am hoping for a season 4. "Not just a western"
This is an excellent series. Great acting, great story, and superb scenery. Just the kind of series I've been waiting for! I love the Native American elements, love the mystery, and find it amazing that the writers can so successfully mix modern day Wyoming with so many elements of the past. Hope Netflix continues with many more seasons!

Good acting and dialogues
Very like the intrigue and the even today's differences between the whites and the natives. I like the friendship whit Walt and Henry and the work relation of Vic and the rest of the crew (without mentioning how cute she is.) Really love all the seasons, can't wait for the next ones.
