Effective way to stop exhaust sway and rattle
The Peugeot 206cc comes with rubber exhaust mounts which degrade and stretch, eventually allowing so much movement the rear exhaust box starts rattling. As there are only 2 brackets, when the exhaust pipe sways it puts strain on the clamp connecting the pipe to the back box, working it loose and causing leaks. The movement in mine lead to an MOT failure. This bracket is undersized compared to the original so offers a super tight fit holding the rear box firmly in place. It does need some work to fit it and it helps if the holes are lubricated with a little copper grease before fitting. Does not fit.
Clearly not as stated about fitting the make and model. Managed with great difficulty and innovation to get it to fit on the car. Had to buy longer bolt and had to keep bending the bracket so it would fit .
