    Beautiful vision

    Superbly produced survey of a very important BC artist, like Emily Carr, Jack Shadbolt &c. The book is physically impressive & colour prints are state of the art. Hughes' vision of the province, & especially of the southern West Coast, is masterful & enchanting. 'Northern Art', with its hints beyond the material, in critic Roald Nasgaard's apt term.
