Additional Information
This sharp-toothed double feature presents ALLIGATOR and its sequel.
ALLIGATOR: A vicious alligator named Ramon, who was flushed into the city sewer as a baby, survives to become a 32-foot-long menace who devours animals and people alike. Ramon's so huge because of the steady diet of dead pets--treated with growth hormones--that he's fed on for 12 years. Now the tremendous brute is angry and looking for revenge. Only detective David Madison (Robert Forster) knows of Ramon's existence, and it is his task to prove to the rest of the city that a tropical beast lives in their midst. Veteran screenwriter John Sayles' script finds the perfect blend of comedy and horror, making this an entertaining romp through the sewers of Chicago.
ALLIGATOR II: A baby alligator is flushed into the city sewer system filled with toxic chemicals from a corporation experimenting with growth acceleration. You know the rest.

The books were received very well packed, perhaps too well but that should be taken as a compliment. As a big fan of Conrad, delved in and started on Victory. Very pleased with the seller and efficiency of service - would highly recommend said seller and where relevant would use the provider again - many thanks

  • Jaws & Jurrasic Park fans should enjoy this. (Giant Alligater on the loose in the US sewers, gobbling folk)

Great double pack with both the original Alligator film from 1980 & the so called sequal (which I've yet to watch) The first film comes with Director & Actor commentary (the reason I went for this double pack as it's not on the lone Alligator dvd I looked at) which if you're into that kind of extra on a movie, it can be great. The commentary is a good one with decent information on or about the movie (sometimes these commentaries can be either sparce on info or just a luvie "oh they were great" fest) and they tell us it was basically a Jaws but an Alligator clone. The film it's self is impressive for a movie over 30 years old, the special effects are pretty decent & it holds up better than some other B movie horror films. There's not too much in the way of gore & it has a streak of humour ...

  • alligator 1 &2

Alligator 1 is corny but fun to watch i think if you buy this movie you know its quite old now so it will not have the super effects of todays films. Alligator 2. is ok but not has good as 1. They will not scare you but there a laugh

  • a good film

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.
