Let down by very S T R E T C H Y line
I bought this to replace an old retractable line where the spring had broken after many years of service. I selected this item as it was in an identical casing that would fit straight onto the existing screws - which it did. The big problem is that however taught you pull this line (and we wind ours off on a wall mounted metal 'tie-off') it still has so much stretch in it that the washing ends up close to or touching the ground, unlike it's predecessor. This line is also physically 'thin' making it more of a challenge to peg onto. Finally, after trying to pull the line even taughter, it snapped about 18" from the wall hook.
