This book caught my attention as a lover of fashion, and its origins. However, with that in mind I presumed that this book would be full of 'secrets' that fans of Madame Chanel may not already know. Unfortunately this book did not grab my attention. It's very long winded with lots of theories about Chanel's life and lovers, rather than facts. Some of the read was interesting, it was interesting to read that Boy Capel (Chanel's greatest love) injected a huge amount of money in to her fashion brand therefore it can be questioned as to whether the double C logo we know as a symbol for Chanel clothing, is actually for Coco Chanel or Chanel & Capel - which I now interpret it to mean. On the other hand, if you are un-interested in factual information on Chanel's life and would like to read it simply to enjoy the theories on what may have happened in her lifetime etc this book is worth reading, and for the bargain price of £3.99 which I found on Ebay...you can't go wrong!Read full review
