    Good product except for corns on top center-line

    Good price, materials and function only let down by.. not suited to corns on top on centerline. This would probably not affect most users. Use on corns and bunions on sides of foot .. very good. Not suited to corns on top center-line because of the method used to force apart two halves. I had realised this before purchase. I overcame with my own DIY modification . Not straightforward but can be done.

    Great product but...

    These really are a very handy, and great product however; they do not fit into heeled shoes. Despite the picture of killer heels on the box, they are not at all compatible with anything resembling that type of shoe! They can't get into the shoe due to angling issues no matter what you try, so ladies if you are after them for this reason it's not a good fit. That being said they work wonderfully with flat shoes such as brogues, and the lower heels so they do have a good use still, and are worth an investment for that side of things.

    Good design but poor quality parts

    Concept is great but the quality of the product is reflected in the low price. The integral nuts used to tighten the shoe stretcher are made of plastic. One broke the first time I used it and applied any tension. Ideally these parts should be metal. The stretchers do not come with any instructions. You have to work it out yourself. The whole point is to apply tension to stretch the shoes. The plastic parts are just not up to it. I suppose the moral is not to over tighten at first, then gradually increase tension over a period of days/weeks to stretch the shoes. I am trying this now - so far so good. Would opt for a more expensive (better quality) product next time. Having said that, the supplier replaced with a new pair FOC when I brought the problem to their attention.

    Basic item at a good price and does the job

    It is basic, but it works. Can now wear shoes that used to pinch just enough to give me sore feet and blisters, Now easy to wear and don't have to give them to the charity shops.

    I put it in some leather shoes I am hoping to stretch. Not sure how long it may take. I will widen it 1/2 a turn or there snouts for a week.
