    Awesome book that makes the Bible much easier to understand. The detailed explanations of what was going on at the time, who the writer is, when it was written.............Bible scholar opinions about various topics is terrific knowledge. it is like a cliff notes for the Bible. Many things become clear that I did not previously understand like that Isaiah is considered the 5th Gospel by many scholars and why. About how Israel was split into two nations and later invaded by the Assyrians then later by the Babylonians then freed by the Persians.............I can now tell many interesting Bible stories and facts that i did not know before in spite of reading the bible and listening to numerous sermons.     I find this book to be a very good resource. It is written in laymen's terms and has an abundance of information. I found it hard to put down! I have always wanted to grow my knowledge about the Bible, but sometimes found it difficult to understand. This book has helped bridge that gap.
