Storm Shelter - a "must have" for every hiker
The shelter is easy to deploy, plenty of room for one, cramped with two, and only just better than the cold and wet with three. Keeps the rain off and allows you to warm up - if you aren't too wet. I bought it for trips up big hills with Ham Radio equipment. I can sit inside with a small table. You can get a wet bum - the bottom isn't completely water proof, but it stops the rain and the wind. The sides are very floppy and do blow into you, and I had a little condensation. Would be more robust with two people. Easy to fold up in calm weather - not tried in a force 8 gale yet. It isn't an alternative to a tent, but it does what it should in an emergency. Packs down small. Essential if you are going walking in the uk hills
Good shape for 2& rucksacks. Window well positioned. Very light. Brilliant piece of kit for the bottom of your bag just in case - definite life saver. Worth having just to eat your butties if it's raining. Gets warm inside really quickly. 35 years in the hills - worth every penny

Very important piece of kit.
This is a difficult one to answer. I bought this to have in a kayaking emergency. Thankfully, I have not had to use it in one as yet. I also hope that I never will have to use it. I'm just an "Old Scout" and I like to feel that "I'm Perpared". However, on checking it out, I do feel that it is very well made. 3 people could fit in it in a squash, it's for an emergency remember, not for luxury. It's very hi vis, and well reflectorised for night searching. It is very good value for money. Any serious walker, hiker, kayaker and outdoor activity enthusiast swhould have it in their kit. It takes up no space, and almost no weight at all. Why pay expensive life insurance and not go the extrra mile by having one of these.?
