Created by Donald Bellisario (JAG, MAGNUM P.I.), AIRWOLF was among the many action-adventure shows of the 1980s that garnered a cult following. Jan-Michael Vincent stars as the improbably named Stringfellow Hawke, a Vietnam veteran still troubled by the disappearance of his brother during the war. Secret government agent "Archangel" (Alex Cord) approaches Hawke with a unique offer: to help him recover and then become the de facto pilot of the powerful, top-secret helicopter known as Airwolf. With that proposal the series begins chronicling Hawke's adventures, along with his sidekick Dominic (Ernest Borgnine) as pilot of the advanced aircraft. SEASON ONE contains all 12 episodes from the first season. Many fans of the show pinpoint this season as the show's finest, as its dramatic tone and plots of intrigue contrast with later seasons which reached for broader, more family-friendly appeal.

The first three seasons starred Jan-Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine, Alex Cord, and Jean Bruce Scott. The final season, for the USA Network, was recast. The show had a musical score (orchestral-based in the first and early second season episodes; synthesizer-based thereafter) composed and performed by Sylvester Levay. Hawke is called upon by a man code named Archangel ÃƒÂ¬ the leader of "the FIRM" that built Airwolf ÃƒÂ¬ to steal Airwolf back from her twisted creator, Doctor Charles Henry Moffet, who had taken her to Libya.

Airwolf Season one
I have always like "Jan-Vincent Vincent", even before he starred in "Airwolf". He is a wonderful, talented, and handsome actor despite his troubled past personal life. He really showed his acting talents in Season 1. I always enjoyed watching "Airwolf" every week. It was better than watching "Knight Rider". Who ever heard of a talking car that talked back to you. Even with the technology today, we still don't have cars that talk back to us or drive us around by itself. "Airwolf was more realistic.I have always like "Jan-Vincent Vincent", even before he starred in "Airwolf". He is a wonderful, talented, and handsome actor despite his troubled past personal life. Airwolf one of the Greatest Classics
This is a great classic all the episodes were great I bought it because it brings back memories of back in the day when you would get up early Saturday morning do what you have to do so you can have the rest of the day in front of the TV enjoying the action and adventure, the theme song was great I can't get it out of my head. The only bad thing about Season one of this collection is that there are not enough episodes on the DVD but everything else is perfect.This is a great classic all the episodes were great I bought it because it brings back memories of back in the day when you would get up early Saturday morning do what you have to do so you can have the rest of the day in front of the TV enjoying the action and adventure, the theme song was great I can't get it out of my head.
