    Not great for removing ball race cups fr...

    Not great for removing ball race cups from steering stems because there's nothing much to grip, but probably good for roller bearings which have an upper shoulder. The installation side of it works very well, however.

    Steering Stem Removal Tool

    This is a great tool and the quality is second to none. However I did snap two grub screws which clamp on to the bearing. They are made of soft aluminium so I’ve ordered some stainless steel replacements off eBay. I still think that you might come across the odd bearing where this tool won’t work to remove it and a press will be required.
