    Terrific Film!

    While being the slightly melodramatic production as expected from the liner notes, Dad was a surprisingly enjoyable production. Jack Lemmon provided the high level of acting craft that we have come to expect. All of the central characters were well served by the actors. Most surprising was the controlled performance by Ted Danson. Very impressive. As this was an ensemble cast production, we get to spend some time with his character. As the adult son stepping into a challenging phase in life, the story and character resonated with me. A very enjoyable film!

    Overlooked Gem

    This is a wonderful film , that I think everyone should see .. Sooner or later we will all face the challenges of aging parents and the ultimate, facing our own old age ! This movie will make you laugh , cry and really make you think about how you will handle similar situations , when they arise !! A tender story , that touched me deeply . When I first saw it on TV , I knew I had to own it .... So far , I have shared it with a close friend , who was equally impressed !! Sad, that this wonderful film was overlooked by critics ! With a wonderful cast including Jack Lemmon , Ted Danson ,and Olympia Dukakis it's certainly worth seeing !!
