good quality product, great value for money and excellent range of accessories, good software support..
Reliable pieces of hardware, good smartphone software including web interface and very good customer support. Good range of accessories at a very reasonable cost making it one of the most cost effective smart home systems out there. Hub only has Ethernet connection, no WiFi support which might be an issue for some people but I prefer wired connections for such devices for reliability.

Very erratic operation - do not buy
This is an absolute horror show of a product if you are looking for switches to work over IFTTT or indeed with any of the scenarios from within the MiHome App itself Switching is extremely erratic with some switching on off and others not. The Hub seems to flash green and sometimes red but doesn't do anything and you do need to keep it attached permanently to the router with a cable. Excellent system for smart home control.
I’ve had this system controlling my radiators and automatically boosting my hot water for over 3 years now and I haven’t seen any glitches in that time. Works faithfully and reliably. The app works well. Product support are very responsive and I’m now starting to explore the IFTTT integration to automatically turn on the immersion heater when the the sun is out!

Automatic or voice or remote control, excellent.
The starter pack is a great way to get into the Energenie Mi|Home world. Having a physical remote control makes this set perfect for controlling things like TVs or lights (plugged into the wall), along with the voice control or routines etc via Alexa/Google.
