About this product

Product Information

Salander is plotting her revenge - against the man who tried to kill her, and against the government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life. But it is not going to be a straightforward campaign. After taking a bullet to the head, Salander is under close supervision in Intensive Care, and is set to face trial for three murders and one attempted murder on her eventual release. With the help of journalist Mikael Blomkvist and his researchers at Millennium magazine, Salander must not only prove her innocence, but identify and denounce the corrupt politicians that have allowed the vulnerable to become victims of abuse and violence. Once a victim herself, Salander is now ready to fight back.

Spend two days with this book - it's worth it

A most unusual heroine and hero, which means the story takes over and you're caught in the inevitable consequences of each persons actions. Beautifully translated into the English.

  • One of/ if not the best books I've read

I've read all 3 of these books (obviously this is the third-duh) , it seems pointless to review this because if youve read this far you are not going to stop at the second book! Although each ends of as though it could be fully self contained..I dont think ideally you should read the later ones without reading the others-this would be hard to read in isolation I dont consider myself much of a reader but a daily commute has meant I need something to occupy me and this trilogy makes it hard to get up and off the train! Lots of twists and turns and everything is connected- it opens out like an enormous map. theres definitely been times you think certain characters are just not going to make it out and you are definitely on the edge of your seat, you never feel like you couldnt care less ...

  • eBay saved my petrol and a trawl through charity shops

I bought the set of 3 books for holiday reading, to lie on the beach and enjoy the sun. I got through 2 1/2 in 2 weeks and finished the last at home. Better to read the set in sequence but you could start at book 2 & make sense of it all. Don't worry too much about the fine detail and make up your own names if your Swedish is a little rusty / non existent. As I read it the book showed signs of breaking apart from the spine but survived for my wife to read. It represents reasonable value for money and saved me a trawl around the charity shops, thank you eBay! The first in the series takes half the book to describe the characters and situation but keep going. Someone's got some inside info.

  • Sums it up well, but will have to read it to the end to really get it

It is absolutely brilliant, can’t put it down. All the characters are described in fully, & one can imagine every detail. It’s the final instalment, & doesn’t disappoint. It’s so original, tense & a page Turner.

  • Read the other two first

To be able to follow the story, you should read the trilogy in order as the tale progresses from the first through the second to the third. Another romping good story - no idea how accurate the historical Swedish details are but it doesn't spoil the tale.
