Limited edition with alternate artwork. 2021 release. ABBA, one of the most successful music groups of all time, has announced it's return after nearly 40 years with a new studio album and a new concert that will see singers Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad and instrumentalists/songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus performing digitally via avatars with a live 10-piece band in a purpose-built arena in London. The Voyage album was recorded by the group at Andersson's Riksmixningsverket studio in Stockholm. The songs are the first new material from ABBA since the release of the "Under Attack" single in December of 1982, although the members, now all in their 70s, have released several solo projects.

    RING RING THEY FINALLY GAVE US A CALL!!!

    A brilliantly exquisite return of the most loved pop music group of our time. Fans never thought they would ever record again so when news spread a new album was to be released it made for one of the most excitingly anticipated waits for a new journey into sheer pleasure. Supersonic and sexy songs which sounds just like they have never been away. Frida and Agnethas vocals still soar into blissful raptures of melodic magic.

    ABBA WAITED TOO LONG

    The same production approach, slightly modernized, which is the good news. The same vocal sound without any signs of ageing, again - good news. The bad news: the ABBA reunion suffers from the most common ailment plaguing 60s and 70s artists (starting from the 90s into the new century), which is an excessive wordiness and a tendency to gravitate to mid-tempo and slow tunes. There is not very much fun to be found in this music, just like the music of most of the older recording artists. Good songs, but no Waterloos or Mama Mias. Not even a "Fernando" or "The Name Of The Game" - the focus and economy of expression that AM Radio forced on recording artists is gone now and like most older artists, ABBA falls into the trap of writing overly long and meandering tunes without their signature ...
