Smooth operator.
This macerater has worked very quietly for just over two years. I gave a it a 4 star rating for it's low noise. However I have replaced it now with the same model, after it started getting a squeal type sound. It may have been an eroded seal due to too much bleach, so now we will only use the correct cleaning fluid. It is easy to fit, and I've never heard a smoother unit.

De-scaler Cleaner
I was a bit skeptical at first, I did not think it would make much difference, then once I used it I thought fantastic stuff. I left the cleaner in the macerator over night and flushed it away in the morning. It smelt nice and the difference in the sound the macerator makes when being flushed! I doesn't sound as if it is straining to pump the waste out. Macerator toilet cleaning liquid
This really does the job.I tend to leave it overnight to work it’s magic and immediately after restarting, the motor clears the system much quicker and easier. Used regularly as maintenance, rather than only when you are having problems, it’s so simple and cost effective.
