Pretty easy remembering to read instructions on the light and pressing the Wi-Fi pairing button on the router .Will stay paired until router reset button is pushed. I thought if I unplugged the adapter it would need pairing but its was all good . Take adapter anywhere your Wi-Fi will reach and a electricty socket or plugged in extension cord remembering the Wi-Fi restriction . Had this to use with a BT Business Smart hub 2 on fibre broadband to plug an alarms phone line in, which the BT installer at the time recommended for us to get. But the adaptor does not work with the hub. After looking into it there are so many people in the same boat with these two products, they are not compatible, and the adapter does not work with this hub. Spent hours on the internet trying to find why it does not work, also called BT helpline on the product information instructions and the BT ‘technical help’ guy on the other end of the line was a waste of time like the info in the box. It would be helpful if BT and BT's information on the product told you this beforehand. It would also be good for suppliers to state the fact too. Sorry to be negative on this item it’s probably a ... Nice gadget
You lose a socket outlet but you can still use an extra wired phone (in addition to the one plugged into the router) anywhere round your home. Just remember to fit a micro-filter with the DV adapter before plugging in the phone as it may not ring.
