  • A Very Interesting Book

This book is considered fiction but I grew up in Milledgeville, Ga. where the events as factual as they seemed, actually took place. My original copy of the book was lost and I wanted to have one as a keepsake. I remember vividly, when I was a small girl, going into town early one Saturday morning with my Mom, Dad, brother and sister. The killings had happened the night before and everyone was talking about them. It was also during the centennial celebration and all of the men had to grow mutstaches or beards or both. The sheriff of the county lived near our family and was a friend. So much I can't remember but the book brings back much of the memories from that time.

  • Well written. Enjoyed.
