As advertised. These are easier to use on the older 12AX7-type tubes - the smaller diameter of the older tubes makes this easer to slide on and off. Modern 'fat' tubes are .060" larger in diameter, and it's a little more work to get this tool on and off the tube. It's going to be mostly an 'on-the-bench' tool for me. A tiny bit too much effort for removing tubes while the chassis is still in the cabinet for a lot of amps. But it DOES work!!!
