The OM-10 is a very fine midlevel 35mm SLR. I bought my first one at a garage sale over 20 years ago and it has been a rugged reliable camera through hundreds of roles of film. Easy to use, in camera metering with easy to read LED shutter speed read out in the view finder. Comes as aperture priority in auto mode and can be used in full manual mode with the optional manual adapter. A full range of lenses are available, moderate weight, very long battery life. An excellent choice for students in Black and White film classes that typically require a manual camera.
I received the camera on on 7/27/11 as promised. I took it out of the packing material and began shooting photos almost immediately. Smooth sailing, easy of operation, especially the film advance lever, a problem I had with an earlier version of this, the OMG. The camera is simple to use, yet takes wonderful photos comparable to the more expensive "pro" models that cost an arm and leg.
Seeing this Olympus OM10 body for sale on line it struck me as a quality item for little money. Based on my knowledge of my 38 year old OM10 I bought it for use with my 200mm lens. When I unpacked it the body exceeded the description. An excellent purchase that has given me many hours of satisfaction shooting film again.

OM-10 is a great, easy to use camera. Manual Adapter plugs into hole shown on left front of camera and allows manual speed control. Adapters with FC logo were on OM-10s that had a small USA shield on front left angled chrome corner and were marketed in the USA as an OM-10FC, using Cheryl Tiegs (model) in the ads. Most of these older OM-10s will need new light shields but kits are available or you can purchase bulk material and make your own. With a Winder 2 you can shoot multiple frames per second for sports action. A great starter film camera; built by a good company and made to last.
I love Olympus OM cameras, my preferences are professional OM1 and OM1n cameras, however, I have just bought this one (OM10) for my 9 year old son who is studying amateur photography. Great camera for novices! Electronic shutter and aperture priority makes it easy to use and very friendly.
Camera works but shutter doesn’t open back up in manual adapter mode, not sure if it’s the adapter or the camera. Works good in automatic mode so far.

I have owned a OM10 for better than 30 years and every function is still tight and working as new....this OM10's controls are loose and sloppy and constantly in need of checking in order to see if they are still where you want them.

I bought this camera because I am a collector of OM series cameras to add it to my collection; and also for parts, because parts are no longer made, some Olympus dealers have brand new OM series cameras in stock that they use for parts but are not allowed to sell these cameras [PARTS ONLY] which are the only parts you can get unless you by them on EBAY for own parts.
This is a great body for walking around because it is a lot lighter to carry than my Nikon F3 or Olympus OM-2SP. I bought this body with the manual adapter to use as a backup, and I find that I use it more than some of my other film cameras . Auto mode is aperture priority so you can just focus and shoot.
thank you for my camera!! the turn dial on my old Olympus was sucky and this one works perfectly!!!
