Trailer secondary attachment, secure and easy to use.
The item was a perfect fit, easy to install, as this secondary attachment is a legal requirement for a unbraked trailer, this chain is better than the old wire cable it is replacing. The way the chain has a 60 mm ring which loops over the tow ball before attaching the tow hitch is a great idea.

Trailer breakaway chain
The chain was delivered promptly. It was very easy to fit and I feel much more comfortable towing 500kg of sand behind me. Should the trailer break free it is going to stay behind the car for sure. A better choice than a wire.

A seriously strong bit of safety kit for any unbraked trailer
A safety chain or cable is a legal requirement for all unbraked trailers under 750kg gross weight. If the trailer detaches from the tow ball, this needs to keep the trailer attached to the tow vehicle, and keep the hitch part of the trailer off the ground. This chain seems more than strong enough for the task, if required. Just bolt the end of the chain under a trailer hitch mounting bolt (the rear one in most cases, otherwise the chain may be too long to keep the trailer off the ground), and slip the ring end over the tow ball.A safety chain or cable is a legal requirement for all unbraked trailers under 750kg gross weight.
