    Required to Charge the i3 at 11kw

    The 94ah BMW i3 is capable of charging at 11kw on AC but what is not made clear is that you need a 3 phase cable to achieve this. I was puzzled why my i3 was only charging at 7kw when connected to a 22kw fast charger but the single phase BMW charging cable was the reason. I purchased this 3 Phase cable and the car now charges at it’s maximum of 11kw on AC.
