Although this knife functions well, I find the battery life to be a little lacking, which makes the extra battery in the kit very handy. The charging time is also quite long, considering how quickly I can run it back down. I bought the portable model for convenience, since i might be cleaning fish in a place with electrical service. But, without the second battery I would be in a bind if I have a box of fish to filet...

This knife is handy and the extra battery in the case makes it even better but over priced compared to competitors. I think you pay for the name. Hopefully it will hold up like most rapala products. Would recommend.
