Full of potential.
Pros- small, light, portable, sounds great and full of potential for making unique sounds. Cons- you will want to have a larger keyboard like my Kronos 88LS for example to connect to it via MIDI and then find a way to have the Wavestate above it to really make full use of it as its own keyboard is only 3 octaves. With its deep architecture learning how to use it can be challenging and may take time to master. Overall- Good value, sounds great and a deserving best-seller. Even the Korg shop ran out of them so grab one when you can!Pros- small, light, portable, sounds great and full of potential for making unique sounds. A sound designer's dream!
At first, I was bamboozled by the complexity of the synth, but after a week or so started to get the hang of the workflow. There are SO MANY samples in this synth, you should be able to find what you want, and a mass of modulation routings means you can create some very individual sounds. There are a host of patches (free and paid) available, so you can get extra inspiration too. I would say the only negative is the light touch keys. Great fun straight out of the box but be prepared to be reading through the manual regularly to get to grips with it. Super complex and incredibly deep but well worth it if you want this huge array of digital sounds.
