The game was advertised as being complete ... which it was, though the internal packaging within the box wasn't secure so the small pieces were loose and one item had escaped the box! Fortunately it was caught up in the bubble wrap & I found it as I was about to throw it out. Good Condition, Fast Delivery
The disc is in perfect condition, the delivery was swift. Grim Fandango is an absolute classic game, for a game developed in the 90's it still shines even today. However as with all software developed for older 32 bit operating systems, it doesn't work under a 64 bit operating system! Check your OS to make sure its 32bit! If you have an older computer/laptop lying around to play this on, you'll have a better chance!The disc is in perfect condition, the delivery was swift. There's nothing Grim about this game!
Played the game a few years ago and stupidly sold it - and of course had to pay twice as much for it this time! I'm not going to complain though because it is definitely worth every penny, once I got it to play properly on Windows 7 - take this into account if you buy it, as it is over ten years old now. By surfing the web I found a way to make it compatible but it did take some doing. Excellent story line - witty and funny - as you would expect from Lucas Arts, with lots of characters encompassing the weird to the darned right strange! Has that real feel of Film Noire with the dead-pan (pun intended!) Manny Calavera to take us through the journey. Manny is a travel agent at the Department of Death, selling luxury packages to souls on their four year journey to eternal rest. But he ... But he discovers things are not quite right in the world of the dead and it is up to him to find out what's going wrong. I found it quite a challenging game to play, you have to really check all areas for small clues and ask all the right questions - can be frustrating at times - I did get stuck on a few occasions and had to cheat but that may just be me! You need to use your logic most of the time and try everything, every combination of items and conversations even if it seems unlikely, as it often the right choice! There are some really tricky areas - pushing a wheelbarrow over some lines, backwards and forwards in just the right combination to get something to happen - so be prepared! The only frustrating and annoying aspect is not being able to skip through dialogue, once you start, you will have to go through it over again if needs be - but even allowing for some annoyances it's still a great game, a classic, and well worth purchasing, and one I shall keep for many years this time.
