It is professionally direct to garment ink printing, it shouldn’t feel plastic, it’s not a transfer. They wash perfectly on a normal wash. As with a lot of printed T-shirts they are best not tumble dried because of the heat but otherwise just treat as normal. My husband has lots of my T-shirts, some a few years old now and they are all still going strong, so don’t worry they should be just fine
