Seller made no attempt to post item a week after it was paid for. Tried to blame Royal Mail saying it was the earliest collection he could get even though he’d marked the item as despatched. Then tried to infer I hadn’t paid for it till the Monday after I’d bought it when the screenshot from eBay shows I paid on Friday 22nd January

Ebay marks orders as 'dispatched' from the moment the seller purchases a shipping label through the site. 'dispatched' simply means shipping has been organised and arranged, it does not mean that the item is in transit. I purchased my shipping label with Royal Mail and booked the earliest slot for them to collect the parcel from me (I don't live near a post office). On the day that Royal Mail where coming to collect, the buyer had already opened a claim, so I cancelled the shipping.
