As per the instructions, set the camera to AV mode and it will automatically adjust the shutter speed and ISO setting to give the correct exposure without the need to adjust anything yourself. If you need more control (for example, shooting the moon) set the camera to M mode and increase the shutter speed and/or lower ISO setting until the image is neither too bright or too dark. This is all covered in the included documentation. MANY THANKS
