Rock Band is an amazing game, made more so by the wonderful assortment of downloadable songs available for the XBox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of the game. AC/DC is, simply put, legendary. So combining the two would seem to be a perfect match, right? Well... sorta. See, the AC/DC track pack is a stripped down version of Rock Band 1 featuring live versions of some of AC/DC's signature songs. The audio quality is great, especially considering that it is a live version. My one gripe with the tracks themselves is that when I just want to play any given song, I find that I have to battle through an intro and an outtro on the guitar that are either really hard to nail or completely boring for the rest of the band. However, this is a small complaint. My main complaint is with the rest of the game... in that there isn't a "rest of the game." It's just those 18 songs. No bonus content or anything along those lines. This game is simply glorified downloadable content. There is actually a code in the manual that let's you download these 18 songs to the real game, bypassing the need for a disk itself. This game is ultimately weighted down by a completely unnecessary walmart exclusivity and a full game engine. There aren't even trophies to justify getting anything but the download code. I would recommend getting this game, but for no more than 30 dollars, which is about what the DLC would be worth if it were on the Playstation Network. I got it for $10 less than that, so go around ebay, and MAKE SURE that you get a copy with an unused download code. Unless you don't care about swapping disks or don't own Rock Band 1 or 2.Read full review
My only dislike about the Rockband games were that they lacked more songs from this amazing band. That was totally fixed with this add on pack. seamless integrations via a code entry I am able to play all these songs in my Rockband 2 game. This track pack is everything you would expect it to be. Some great live version of one of the most distinctive bands in Rock history. With a sound completely their own every song from this track pack is infectious and gets stuck in your head! For anyone else like myself that grew up going to middle and high school between the 80's and 90's these songs bring back some great memories! I hope they release even more songs from this band!
If you want to play ac dc on your rock band 3 or 4 game, this is a good disc to have.

it seems to me that the guys that invented rock band dreamt they could play ac dc. as an AC/DC fan my favorite show is Back in black, the perfect combination of hard rock, amazing guitar solos and allot of adrenaline. a week before I got the game I heard the show over and over, even watched it on DVD so I will learn the steps and know how to perform best, the day I got the game I invited my best friend and one of AC fan and what a blast, what a great game, there is one thing to play famous songs and another thing to play the song you love and from your favorite band.. I think AC/DC does good for rock band and thank god rock band was invented for AC/DC...
What I like: AC/DC songs, it´s the most fun you can get playing Rock band ever. What I don´t like: I hoped to play Angus on the screen, like other games like Metallica, Beatles and etc. That would be FUN. Or - that would be absolutely great - if you could choose between Angus or Malcolm tracks. But at all the most drawback is that they used (obviously) the AC/DC Live album tracks. So those songs were speeded, rushed (so glad they've got Phil Rudd back on the drums, the man IS the AC/DC groove), and all vocal by Brian Johnson - master tracks by Bon Scott would be killer.
