    I love this movie and the caracters, and it is directed by the master himself, Steven Spielberg. It gives you a quick look into the turmoil slavery caused in the US. A geat movie.

    A film making tour-de-force

    Daniel Day-Lewis gives the world a masterclass in the art of character portrayal. Steven Spielberg directs with a subtle hand. Indeed, no-one in the cast of this film over-plays their role, so that the ensemble deliver a truly believable picture of civil war America. Add to this the incredible attention to detail in costume and set design, and it's no wonder that the film received 12 Academy Award nominations and won two.
