Product Information

The MTX Thunder XT502 is a 2-way coaxial car speaker, optimally sized at 5.25 inches. Comprising a 0.51-inch cone tweeter and an Injection Molded Polypropylene (IMPP) car woofer, the MTX Thunder XT502 is a full range coaxial car speaker. The car woofer-tweeter combination responds to frequencies between 0.08 Hz to 20000 Hz. The coaxial car speaker has a dual voice coil of 2 ohms impedance each, has sensitivity to 88 dB and distributes beats with 4 Watts of power. The MTX Thunder XT502 is a non-enclosed coaxial car speaker with a 2 inch top mounting depth and is well suited for big and small vehicles.

    MTX 5.25 2-Way car Speakers Thunder

    I really like the sound these speakers put out. I used these in the front doors of my Crown Vic instead of the factory Ford 4 x 6 speakers from China. I cut out some round holes from the grills of the front of the enclosures of the existing speakers and threaded some small screws through the existing grill holes. Taped off most of the openings with duct tape and put a little 3/4 inch fiberglass behind the driver. One door I almost sealed too much and the bass was really booming! I did not use the covers provided with the speakers in order to get the full sound of the driver. I was a little disappointed that the speakers did not include wiring to install or clips to attach to the new drivers, but the sound was definitely worth the change and price paid. A+
