I like that the camera is small and handy.I bought it because I was going on holidays..And I wanted something different from my friends.No dislikes exept a mailunctional battery...

Best family camera so far (2008)
Firstly, I'm nothing to do with casio or anyone linked to sales of anything associated and yet 22 people I've shown my camera to have bought one: that's how good they are! I've owned three: one died in heavy rain at 60mph on my motorcycle (where it had been taking fantastic video for a year despite the heavy vibration and British weather) and instantly replaced in on eBay with an identical one. I have a newer version with higher megapixels and bigger screen, but it isn't as light and the video isn't as good quality. If only it was waterproof! You can download a firmware update which gets it able to use 8GB SD cards. The battery runs out before the card gets full of video! On long bike runs I take a couple of batteries (about 45 mins of video each). Photographers will like the ability to ... Normal people will like the fact that you don't have to: just pick from a menu of example photos (Best Shot button) and snap what you chose (flower for macro mode, footballers, for sports mode and loads more). One best-shot mode, I call 'Jenga-mode': once activated, the camera is taking video in a 5 second loop... point it at a jenga tower and when the tower falls down, press a button and the video is recorded from the loop onwards: in other words you get video of the tower from 5 seconds before it fell down as well as the time after you press the button! Like filming back in time before a funny event! One of the reasons I bought it originally was the start-up time being short, and the minimal number of buttons on it (you can pick it up without operating buttons)! It has a play button when you want it to show you things, a camera button for when you want to take photos and a record button for when you want to take a video (reasonable DVD quality). Most importantly, it's so small that you'll have it with you when you need it, any bigger and it would be left behind. Casio should stop making bigger numbers an focus on bullet-proofing this camera. Olympus have a water-proof, shock-proof camera that only records onto strange memory cards, only takes 10 seconds of video and costs a fortune. If this camera was made waterproof and shockproof (possibly fixed or internally moving lens) it would be the ultimate sports and petrolhead camera. Add the ability to power it from an external source and my motorbike videos would be perfect. Insurance companies should give everyone one of these to have in their cars to show what really happened during an accident! In 3 years I've caught 5 terrifying drivers on video and I don't do much more than commute. We took video and stills of lots of insects for my boys' school projects, they were fantastic. We've stopped taking a separate video camera and still camera to our kids performances, this little thing does both and has survived many drops onto concrete. Totally impressed with the camera - wish Casio would make an extreme sports version!

Small and snappy
Ive had this camera for two years and recently smashed it on the ground hense I was straight on ebay to purchase the same one. It takes really good pictures and I find that most of my photos are terrific even when compared with a higher pixel camera. Its really small and neat and that makes it so much easier to use when you need to take a quick snap at the right moment.

MY CASIO EXILIM
I enjoy photography and have an SLR digital camera. I wanted something which was good quality and small enough to fit into my breast pocket of my shirt. I chose a 6 megapixel and not higher since I would be using it for holiday type snaps etc., and chose Casio for it,s size, quality, and sheer good looks. I was amazed at the quality of video footage I took and the photographs are first class. This camera is every bit as good as many major SLR cameras in the quality of photograph it produces. A favourite of mine now and I carry it everywhere. Absolutely MEGA for it,s price.I enjoy photography and have an SLR digital camera. Casio EX-600 camera - miniature marvel
A superbly engineered 6mp camera with masses of top-spec features usually found in much bulkier equipment. The tough, solid metal case houses quality optics and electronics which provide crystal-clear images at A4 size and up. It has the usual 3x optical and 4x digital zoom with easy-to-use controls, video-clip and sound recording and loads of more advanced features, but what really sold this camera to me was the tiny size - thin enough to keep it always tucked in a shirt pocket(no more "wish I'd remembered the camera",it's always with me)and the anti-shake image-stabilisation for clear, quick snap-shots on the move. Add to this a focus-to-capture delay time of only milliseconds so you catch the shot you want, rather the empty space where the subject was a moment before, and Casio have ...
