    good but dirrent to his other titles.

    i have been a fan of weller since the mod days, the style council and the jam. i finally got to see him in concert at hammersmith in may and he was awesome,it was my dream come true i have all of his music and couldt wait to get his new album so when i saw it on ebay i snapped it up. i play the cd most days and number 5 is my favourite.

    Weller's 22 Dreams

    Weller is describing this album as being full of many styles, but with the odd noodling exception it is pretty much standard Weller music here. Some outstanding tracks which would be good enough for any disc he has recorded, but the overall feel is rather less powerful. There are too many moments of waiting for the next song to come along, too much self-indulgence. When he's good he's great, but weller has dropped the ball a little on some of this stuff. Enough here to record to separate disc and just listen to the good stuff - no doubt with a few of his other classics thrown in to fill the disc space. I personally still think As Is Now is the underrated classic of recent years.

    undoubtedly worse than heliocentric, dreadful rubbish

    Usually a big Paul Weller fan and quite willing to listen to new things if they are creative and tuneful. This is undoubtedly his worst album ever and is even worse than heliocentric. I will never again buy an album in blind faith. It is utterly self indulgent pretentious nonsense circa 70's aging rock stars taking their fan base for granted. I bought it thinking it would be good, obviously. Don't buy it unless you like said aging rock stars. Totally disappointed. I have grown up and grown significantly older listening to Paul weller music, some I like some I don't but always respected his ability to move on, champion new music and basically write fine songs. This album takes me, and those of the same persuasion, i.e. long term fans,for granted.

    Paul Weller - 22 Dreams

    Another classic album from the Modfather. Paul Weller just maintains excellence as time goes on. This is brilliant and is highly recommended to all fans and anyone new to the great man.
