This is the second Sony Handycam iv'e had and I am very pleased with all aspects of this item. This camcorder is now quite old so getting it repaired if it goes wrong is now difficult but there are still some out there on the secondhand market. I have got this one because I have over 100 tapes in my collection that needs this Handycam to be able to play back or transfer to DVD Disc. But over all I like this Camcorder and would recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying one. 100% Feedback

I PURCHASED THIS CAMERA TO REPLACE A SIMILAR ONE I HAD - WHICH IS STUCK OPEN AND WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR. SINCE I HAVE A COLLECTION OF FILMS TAKEN ON DVC TAPES I NEED IT FOR VIEWING THESE FILMS. IT IS OF COURSE AN OLD MODEL NOW SO I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BUY A NEW ONE LIKE IT AGAIN. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SELLER WHO WAS MOST CO-OPERATIVE AT THE TIME AND SUGGESTED I DOWNLOAD AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AS HE DIDN'T HAVE ONE.

Windows 10 does not allow transfer of video onto computer even with the applied disc because Windows 10 does not support the drivers. If you have computers before Windows 10 operating system then no problems. This is a great little camcorder and wish that Microsoft would hurry up and rectify the lack of driver support, it is out of Sony's hands
