Great tripod
Holds my Nikon D7000 DSLR and lens steady, yet super lightweight for travel. Make sure you get the SLR Zoom version, or it probably won't be strong enough to hold a large camera. Not mandatory, but I think a ballhead would be better than adjusting the legs to aim. It would also give it a bit more height. Overall, 5 stars.

Very good, flexible, creative, easy to carry, quick to use.
It works very well, exactly as it should. Very flexible, without feeling like you are going to wear it out. Holds my Sony Nex 5N, with different lenses, without a problem. Its easy to carry around, and quick to put to use. And the possibilities for using it are endless, it's all about beeing creative. Only thing I miss i the option to use the ballhead accesory Joby has for the bigger Gorillapods.It works very well, exactly as it should. Very flexible, without feeling like you are going to wear it out. Holds my Sony Nex 5N, with different lenses, without a problem. Its easy to carry around, and quick to put to use. Joby never Fails!
I had the smaller gorillapod that I used for my compact digital camera and phone. I decided to upgrade to this larger gorillapod for my SLR. I have the Nikon D5500 with an 18mm - 200mm Lense. My camera and lens together weighs about 3 lbs and this tripod is perfect. It holds my camera securely. I don't have to worry at all about it falling. I love the bendable legs. I mainly use it for hiking and this tripod is very durable. I absolutely recommend this gorillapod.I had the smaller gorillapod that I used for my compact digital camera and phone. An idea that's as good as it looked!
I like how it grabs on to odd-shaped objects. The quick disconnect allows me to set up the tripod, then snap the camera to it; especially handy when I have the camera on a strap around my neck to prevent it from damage if I should drop it, like when I'm taking a picture from my balcony at night and have the Gorillapod set to grip the rail. I don't really need the level feature, as I have a level built into my camera--it makes it a little harder to remove the shoe if I have to change batteries, which fortunately doesn't happen very often--once so farI like how it grabs on to odd-shaped objects. Very much the design rotating heads has great value. The price good, is commensurable with the price of feet. It is necessary to approach to its choice very seriously. The head design, will depend on weight of your camera. It is not necessary to take that head which is calculated on smaller weight. I am happy with purchase.
