Works very well, much better than the TFT display on the R1200GS (in that it actually connects to your phone and works, The Satnav is great, free updates for the life of the GPS, very bright display even in direct sunlight. As with most BMW products its very expensive but it works and works well.

This a rubbish, seriously if you know anything about satnavs steer clear, The routing is terrible. Windy roads are a joke. Why send me down a country road so small I can't get out of 2nd? Does it all the time. Fastest routes are a joke too. The safely camera functionality is so basic as to make it totally useless. Why tell me there once was a mobile camera on a road? That's every road around here, so can I turn off mobile camera alerts and just keep the fixed ones? Like I can on a tomtom? Nope of course I cant. So its either alerting in every road or not at all. Only good points are a nice screen and the integration with my bike via the scroll wheel. That's nice but its meant to be a satnav so its a total fail At £550 its £150 more than the top tomtom. Buy that instead. I'll selling this and getting one of those. They aren't perfect but they work. The traffic alerts are accurate to a few feet and steer me around jams. The NAv Vi on the other hand just alarms to tell me i'm sitting in traffic. No sh*t Sherlock. Read full review

Very very good sat nav , can sort out parking spaces, show up to date weather, integration with bike shows all stats like bike mileage , trip distances, links up with headsets to control phone music, you can even look for places on your phone then Bluetooth that location to the sat nav and away you go !!!! It is a lot of money but this is not just your usual sat nav , well done BMW I love mine !!!! Loaded with features this should be called a smart sat nav , at over £500 I’m also glad you can lock to your bike holder. All the information you need on the move and more.

Very expensive but also very good if not amazing in how it links to the BMW i-drive/wheel. "Curvy roads" not as good as TomTom "twisty route", but excellent graphics and relatively easy to use once you get used to it. Looses signal indoors much quicker than the tomtom. Overall very pleased with my purchase if slightly perplexed as to how one Motorrad dealer wants nigh on £700 whilst another can sell it for £575??
