Jennifer Garner Was Electrifying As ELEKTRA in the DAREDEVIL Movie....... Which Was Based on the Comic Book Title. She was about the best thing in that movie in my opinion. However the stand alone movie 'Elektra' where she starred just didn't have a good enough script to stand alone without someone like Daredevil. I first noticed Jennifer in 'Alias', thought she was more than O.K. in it, but since I had not started with the first season I was lost in the continuity... After she played Elektra in the DD Movie, I made an effort to watch the final two seasons as they finished the run on TV, and found them entertaining, but still could not fully enjoy it as references were made to prior shows that I had missed.... This past summer Tina and I rented the early seasons of 'Alias' and had a better appreciation of all the characters and what the storyline was really all about. I started with Daredevil when it first appeared in print, back in 1964, and stopped reading it in 1974... so I missed the change to the 'Grim and Gritty' aspect by Frank Miller and others in the 1980's. The Daredevil Movie and the Elektra Movie were both of a 'Grim and Gritty' Style,' but I still enjoyed both of them, mainly because of Jennifer! MichaelRead full review
Elektra the warrior survives a near-death experience, becomes an assassin-for-hire, and tries to protect her two latest targets, a single father and his young daughter, from a group of supernatural assassins. Apparently this was the second film in this series, and not having seen the first installment, I found it confusing at best, just trying to figure out what was going on most of the time. The directors did little to transition new viewers into understanding what this rag was about. The characters were confusing, often seeming to change direction to whichever way the wind was blowing. The romance was ridiculous and boring. Jennifer Garner looked great, and the cinematography was good. I didn't like it, but if you are into the Batman, Superman, Silver-Surfer, wonder woman kinds of super heroes, perhaps you may.Read full review

In completing a collection of superhero movies, ELEKTRA is a complete storyline with subtleties not expected, that embelish the central themes of life after death, dying for love, unrequetted love and of course all on a martial arts backdrop that is beautifully coreographed. While the film noir textures become monotone, the lighting is excellent, and all moves are clear, if rather fast to follow. This movie never drags, with human moments drawn clearly, but not drawn out. Excellent overall for Daredevil fans!!
Even with Elektra's good looks could not save this picture. The plot was slow, and did not made senses. She took many beatings, and kept on ticking. She was better in DareDevil. This the reason I get it because of DareDevil. Even a little girl try to fight for her. Electra is a BIG whim! The Co-star males were worst then push overs. Their own shadow knocked out. The hero were all helpless til the end. The end was the best part. I said "THANK GOD!" I am wondering which person I hate enought to give it too. :)
A great movie for those who enjoyed Daredevil movie
