Excellent for a beginner
I would recommend this book. Its very easy to read the chords. Its ideal as you can easily pick and choose what to learn as a beginner, rather than plough through the whole list of chords. Its easy to use and fun to pick up and because of that I tend to use it more often than my other music books.

GROSSLY MISLEADING COVER, NOT AT ALL FOR 'DUMMIES'.
This book gives the impression that is so easy to read that a 'dummie' could could understand it, but I found it to be EXTREMELY complicated and has a book cover that is grossly misleading. This is not for a beginner. It will take me a long time to understand this book, which I'm sure for some reasonable guitarists, will enhance their ability, but sadly, for me, at my stage of learning, I found it to be WAY over my head. Once mastered, I'm sure the reader would be an excellent guitarist, but the cover is misleading. It is NOT for 'dummies', at all. This is not for a beginner. Good but incomplete.
This book does have a good selection of guitar chords, my main problem, as a beginner, is that I need a chord book with all the chord inversions in all keys. I know that by moving a chord shape up or down the fretboard will give equivalent chords in all keys, but I need an EASY reference to ALL chord shapes in a particular key just by looking up the key. I would regard this book as good but incomplete.This book does have a good selection of guitar chords, my main problem, as a beginner, is that I need a chord book with all the chord inversions in all keys.
